How to start the week off with a bang!
It’s Monday morning, you didn’t sleep well, you’re tired, you’re irritated and on top of all that, it’s time to go to work. If you have the same feeling every time the alarm goes off on a Monday morning then it’s time to make a few changes. Here is the perfect formula to ensure you wake up happy.
Avoid spending your weekend juggling a million different activities. This will just tire you out and deprive your mind and body of the rest it needs after a long week at work. If you do happen to have a busy weekend planned ensure you allocate rest time just for you. A few hours of relaxation or napping during the day could make all the difference.
As the saying goes, the early bird gets the worm. Get started by getting up extra early, not just setting the alarm clock early but actually getting out of bed and kick starting your day. The aim here is to take your time and get ready at your own pace with no rushing around involved. We all know how stressful that can be!
The right music can really uplift your mood, why not liven up the atmosphere with music that will help to get you going? Once you find the songs that help to wake you up and put you in a good mood, create a morning playlist with nothing but motivating music. It’s absolutely acceptable to dance and sing while getting ready in the morning!
It’s Monday, you deserve to treat yourself. Make a hearty, healthy and tasty breakfast. If you’re one of those people who can’t stomach food of any sort early in the morning, prepare your breakfast and take it with you. Stay away from the type of foods that makes you feel drowsy. Anything high in carbohydrates and calcium like bread and milk or that is filled with sugar are sleep-inducing, and can cause you to feel irritated, and sluggish. Go for foods that will keep you happy and energized like porridge and fruit.
